The solid aluminium yoke perfectly hugs the face whilst the leather and microfibre-covered headband follows a smooth curve regardless of head circumference. The perforated microfibre earpads play a key part in comfort levels whilst also contributing to the open sound of the headphones. This openness is further enabled by the honeycomb design of the earcups’ external grille.

This innovation brings great dynamics and detail across the full sound spectrum while preserving a neutral and balanced signature. The ‘M’-shaped grille inside the earcup follows the curves of the speaker driver for even greater precision.

The new Clear MG headphones boast better performance thanks to new inverters with a magnesium diaphragm. After more than three years of research and development, Focal engineers have opted for this new alloy, which together with the shape of the M-shaped diaphragms gives the headphones even greater sound lightness, rigidity and damping.

Compared to the original Clear model, the new model also provides better dynamics and stronger bass. Sound reproduction is even more perfect, with even greater accuracy and impressiveness, creating a surprisingly realistic sound. The more open design of the Clear MG allows for a wider soundstage, while the reduced space between the transducer and the grille allows for even more accurate high frequency reproduction. This grille has a honeycomb design and more accurately copies the shape of the sensor.
